Tom Waits And Crystal Gayle – One From The Heart (Music From The Motion Picture, 1982) remastered edition/bonus tracks

One From the Heart is a 1982 American musical romantic drama film co-written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Starring Frederic Forrest, Teri Garr, Raúl Juliá, Nastassja Kinski, Lainie Kazan, and Harry Dean Stanton, the film follows a couple in Las Vegas who separate on their anniversary and embark on new romances over the course of a single night.

Unlike traditional musicals where characters sing their own emotions and convey plot information through song, the narrative of One From the Heart is accompanied by a soundtrack composed by Tom Waits and performed by Waits and Crystal Gayle. The non-diegetic music functions as an external commentary on the story rather than being sung by the characters themselves.

The soundtrack was nominated for an Academy Award for Original Music Score.

Peter Sculthorpe – Burke & Wills Soundtrack

Burke & Wills is a 1985 Australian adventure film directed by Graeme Clifford, starring Jack Thompson and Nigel Havers. The film is based on the ill-fated Burke and Wills expedition across Australia in 1860.

Peter Joshua Sculthorpe (29 April 1929 – 8 August 2014) was an Australian composer. Much of his music resulted from an interest in the music of countries neighboring Australia as well as from the impulse to bring together aspects of Aboriginal Australian music with that of the heritage of the West. He was known primarily for his orchestral and chamber music, such as Kakadu (1988) and Earth Cry (1986), which evoke the sounds and feeling of the Australian bushland and outback. He also wrote 18 string quartets, using unusual timbral effects, works for piano, and two operas. He stated that he wanted his music to make people feel better and happier for having listened to it. He typically avoided the dense, atonal techniques of many of his contemporary composers. His work was often distinguished by its distinctive use of percussion. Burke & Wills was one of only three soundtracks he scored in his career.

The Killing Fields...original film soundtrack...music by Mike Oldfield

The Killing Fields (Original Film Soundtrack) was Mike Oldfield’s 10th studio album and soundtrack album to Roland Joffé’s drama film of the same name. Originally released on 26th November 1984, it spawned one single, Étude (Theme From The Killing Fields).

Mike Oldfield's first and really only venture into scoring a movie. It is a beautiful score with very emotionally charged music. The strong, unique, and sometimes stirring music covers a range from classical, to metallic, to light rock, to ethnic. Oldfield was reluctant to accept this assignment due to the nature of the film and his peaceful nature. He wanted to let people feel the horror of war, and was very successful. The music he created was powerful, and very ethereal in nature throughout the piece.

Young Guns Soundtrack...First Pressing release..Kickstarter Project

Support this independent record label as they release, for the first time ever, the epic score from the classic 80s film, YOUNG GUNS!

Kickstarter Project page

The Young Guns original motion picture soundtrack has never been released...until now!

After a lot of planning and hard work, rustedwave.com have acquired the rights to the music from the movie studio.  Now, they need your support so they can release the album and share the brilliant score from this cult classic 80's film.

Released in 1988, Young Guns is an action-packed western that tells the story of Billy the Kid (Emilio Estevez) and the Regulators (Kiefer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen, Lou Diamond Phillips, Dermot Mulroney and Casey Siemaszko) exacting revenge upon the Santa Fe Ring during the Lincoln County War in 1878.  As good as the movie is, the score is what makes it great!

Composed by Anthony Marinelli and Brian Banks, the Young Guns score brilliantly embodies the off-kilter, emotionally unstable characteristics of Billy the Kid, both the man and the myth.  It is epic and powerful, but equally haunting with an underlying melancholy tone.

The album will be mastered from the original recordings and pressed on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl for the enhanced listening pleasure of all audiophiles out there!  It will also be released digitally on iTunes, Amazon and other platforms.

As a special "thank you" reward for certain supporters, they will be printing a LIMITED EDITION T-SHIRT (premium blend, soft comfy tee) featuring the album's artwork.  This t-shirt will not be sold commercially, so you must support the project at this level to get one!

Eddie and The Cruisers...original soundtrack..music by John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band

Eddie and the Cruisers was a movie about the disappearance of a (fictional) leader of a rock band, with an awesome soundtrack to boot. The soundtrack has now become a must have for any avid music collector and proves that 80's music was not all commercialized-synthesized shlock. Retro in sound to the 50's and 60's, with a contemporary edge, it has stood the test of time exceptionally well !

Many have compared the Eddie and The Cruisers/John Cafferty soundtrack to Springsteen's and the E Band's work (hopefully as a compliment and not as a rip off).Let's just say the Boss is the Boss and John Cafferty is John Cafferty. John Cafferty and his band were/are anything but a rip off. He has this very distinct knack for writing original and performing his material with plenty of hooks and upbeat melodies. His vocals are also easily recognized. They seem to have the tough rebellious rockin' edge to them when called for and yet that controllable warm vocal range that allows him to do a great ballad like Tender Years!. The Beaver Brown Band can do no wrong---the sheer artistry and musical synergy between JC & BBB is a great musical force unto itself.

1. On The Dark Side
2. Tender Years
3. Runaround Sue
4. Down On My Knees
5. Hang Up My Rock And Roll Shoes
6. Wild Summer Nights
7. Boardwalk Angel
8. Betty Lou's Got A New Pair Of Shoes
9. Those Oldies But Goodies (Remind Me Of You)
10. Season In Hell (Fire Suite)
